Destination
Jeti-Oguz
Red sandstone "Seven Bulls" cliffs, the Broken Heart rock and the Valley of Flowers.
Jeti-Oguz means “seven bulls”, after the line of red sandstone cliffs at the mouth of the valley. A short walk takes you to the Broken Heart rock, and a longer one up to the Valley of Flowers, a wide green meadow under the snowfields where herders set up yurts in summer.
It’s an easy half-day from Karakol and a good place for a first, gentle hike or a short horse ride.
